Eighty years of Taiwanese craftsmanship and a seakindly, sleek yet powerful design from the drawing board of renowned yacht designer, Bill Dixon, are the hallmarks of this performance cruiser from premier boat builders, Ta Shing Yachts, Taiwan. Fitted with a Scheele keel that concentrates significant weight at the bottom of the keel, combined with her ample beam, makes the Taswell 49 very stable and stiff under sail. Her owners for the past 25+ years have cruised her to the pacific islands and extensively on the east coast, consistently at 8-9 kts under sail and perfectly balanced in most conditions. Her sailing systems are set up for short handed sailing... Hydraulic furling headsail, in mast hydraulic furling mainsail and large self tailing winches.
