World cruising yacht designed and built by the French Navy as a gift to the Aga Khan back in the seventies, "El Karim" has a craftsmen timber interior fit for a king.... Thousands of hours has gone into painstakingly hand carving all of the timber interior.
"El Karim" was designed to cruise the world's oceans in comfort and safety and has done so with her past owner's as well as with her present female owner. The easily managed lower aspect ketch rig offers a number of sail options to suit changing conditions for short handed cruising.
The saloon is spacious and has a distinct opulent middle eastern 'feel'. The U shaped galley on the port side offers plenty of storage, excellent ICEER fridge and large top loading freezer, single round stainless steel sink recessed in the Corian bench top. There is a high quality stainless steel gimballed four burner gas stove/oven/grill.
The forward facing navigation station opposite the galley takes a half size chart and accommodates the ships electrical control systems and circuit boards.
There is an aft cabin with an east / west double berth with ample storage cupboards, double forward to starboard, another double to port with a shared bathroom and a full width Queen owner's cabin forward of this with a spacious central ensuite forward.
This is the perfect home away from home for the timber boat lover.... Would suit a buyer with some wood working skills.

Remarks
This classic ketch with her interesting and engaging history has cruised the Worlds Oceans, chartered in the Caribbean, and has had a cosmetic refit to get her ready for sale however there are still upgrades necessary to prepare her for ocean voyaging (new standing rigging, servicing the generator, resealing some deck fittings etc) that the owner cannot afford to pay for, hence the owner is realistic and negotiable on price.
