"Nyame" has just had the old antifoul sanded right back, primed and fresh antifoul applied, hull polished and waxed, and a new gear box in the thruster.
She is all ready to go!!
Designed by J & J Designs in collaboration with Bavaria GmbH, the Bavaria 44 is a high-volume modern cruiser with lots of internal space for a large family or just two. The fibreglass hull has Divinycell closed cell foam sandwich above the waterline and in the deck moulding, whilst the underwater sections are comfortingly solid GRP, kevlar-reinforced around the bow. The keel is cast iron with a hydrodynamically designed bulb MAKES FOR A SHALLOW 1.65M DRAFT. PERFECT EAST COAST & OFFSHORE YACHT.
"Nyame" (African God from Ghana), never chartered, she underwent a refit in 2016 which focused on lightening the interior, with two pack white locker doors throughout. There are two double cabins aft with a shared bathroom, navigation station to starboard aft, a light filled spacious in line galley midships to port opposite the settee that comfortably seats six. The owner's centreline island bed stateroom forward has a spacious ensuite and lots of storage.
The cockpit is massive, weather protected with a spray dodger and bimini and the twin wheels come in handy for sail trimming and berthing.
"Nyame" has been regularly maintained in full cruising trim and an ultrasound test on the rig 2017 gave it a clean bill of health. She comes with pots, pans, cutlery & crockery.
