Designed by Laurie Davidson ( NZ) as a fast, spacious blue water cruiser, built by Export Yachts these legendary yachts have completed numerous world circumnavigations and "Shala" is ready to go. Owned by a very experienced sailor, Shala is well set up for short handed cruising.
Hull is hand laid, there are eight internal solid timber keel floors heavily glassed over and ten structural bulkheads fully glassed to the hull for maximum strength, unlike the mass produced european imports.
Shala's mast was recently unstepped, she was put in a shed and professionally two pack spray painted, here at The Boat Works November 2017... Hull, coach house two packed, and bottom spray antifouled, so looks amazing.
Her weather protected deep centre cockpit with solid dodger is snug at sea and her decktread laid ( not teak)wide side decks with bulwarks makes moving forward safe and hassle free.
Stainless Steel davits keep the near new RIB inflatable nice and high out of harms way at sea.
Below decks, the well equipped u- shaped galley to port has a newish gimballed Force 10 three burner stove /oven, twin sinks, lots of storage lockers, bench top space, built in refrigeration and freezer.
The L -Shaped sette to port with large drop twin leaf table amidships and settee opposite seat 6-8 people.
Moving forward there is a twin single cabin to port with bathroom opposite and a V-Berth cabin forward.
Amidships on the stbd side is the forward facing well equipped navigation station, with a single in the walk thru to the aft cabin.
The Aft Cabin has a double to starboard and ensuite with seperate shower cubicle keeping the toilet wash basin area nice'n dry.

Remarks
Present owner bought this vessel five years ago from second owner who had owned it for around 20 years and club raced her winning numerous trophies so she is no slug. This fabulous vessel has cruised the Louisiades, PNG, Pacific Islands and The East Coast extensively. She has been serviced regularly and maintained to a very high standard. Some of her many cavernous lockers are full of new spares, tools, numerous boxes of stainless steel fasteners and heaps of new miscellanious and very useful extras.
The topsides and coachhouse have just been professionally two pack spray painted for an as new finish.
