PRICE REDUCED_ Beautifully presented Pryor built Timber Sharpie, fitted out in stunning Queensland Red Cedar.
Spotted Gum planking below the waterline, hoop pine above waterline. Hull depth 4'3" incl deep keel. Above water line planking has been epoxy splined. Decks glass over ply. Full length teak ventilation slots built into the bulwarks to maintain air flow around the enclosed timbers.
The boat has had extensive works carried out professionally, over the past few years on the hull, exterior and interior, and along with regular servicing make this a very reliable low maintenance timber vessel.
Werona was last slipped for antifouling and under waterline inspection in April 2016. The forward and aft cabin tops were resealed and repainted along with the cabin sides. Now presenting in excellent condition and ready to cruise.
Built in 1956 by AW Pryor in Brisbane and retained in the Brisbane area since, Werona regularly cruises Moreton Bay, Gold Coast and Tweed areas.
Repowered with a Iveco M12 114HP commercial marine engine with 650 hours, mated to Velvet Drive 2.1:1 reduction gearbox driving 21" prop. Very economical to run at around 6.5 L/hour cruising at 7.5Knt. Range approx. 230Nm from 2 steel fuel tanks carrying 560Lts total.

This Pryor built 38' Sharpie is much loved and beautifully presented (last slipped and antifouled April 2016)with all the comforts for bay cruising including hot water and a proper shower in the forward bathroom.
"Werona" has had only four fussy owners in 60 years, she is a superb vessel, very comfortable for weekends or multi week cruises, a capable sea vessel and ideal bay cruiser. "Werona" always draws attention wherever she goes and is mentioned in the book "Classic Moreton Bay Cruisers".
